I remember when Patrick Weekes talked about how the writing team had almost no input on the ending because Casey's vision is the one that they went with. Not because the ending was bad (which it was), but because of the way it happened. It's a stain that no matter how much time goes on, I just can't shake. To me, Casey Hudson is always going to be the guy that screwed up the ending of the entire Mass Effect trilogy. In pretty much no other game are the lead writer and lead developer credited as "creators". It looks like whoever wrote the article decided that the lead developer and lead writer needed to be created equally to Hudson, but that's not how Wikipedia is supposed to work - they need a cite for that, and they don't have one. Hudson wanted the company to set a goal on developing its own science fiction intellectual property that is on the same scale and scope as the Star Wars setting. "Mass Effect began as a 2003 pitch for a project codenamed SFX by BioWare project director Casey Hudson to the company's co-founders, Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk. Or we could look in your article, again at a cited bit: "Mass Effect was developed by BioWare and directed by Casey Hudson, who previously directed BioWare's 2003 title Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic." If we look at the actual ME1 Wikipedia article, which DOES have a cite, we see: No-one, AFAIK, has disputed that Hudson had the basic idea, and in particular, that he pushed the project extremely hard at Bioware and convinced people to get it made. Note how that needs a cite, but doesn't have one. Quoting uncited Wikipedia stuff isn't helpful here. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
